Angelique C

Back in 2020, Angelique was one of my earliest students in my chess teaching career. Her mom approached me on chess.com saying that her daughter wanted a coach and she was very enthusiastic about the game - she did chesskid and chess.com lessons, puzzles, and attended tournaments online. She obviously had a spark, and I tried my best to help her in the lessons.

Honestly, I taught Angelique while the MCAT Method was in its prototype stages, not to the version that it is right now. But while working together, she started playing more in person tournaments and after almost two years, she rose her rating to 1271 USCF! This put her in the top 20% of overall players in the country. She is doing amazing and I am very proud.
